s t y l e - lets hear it for new york

Mr L and I are hopefully booking our flights to the US tomorrow so I decided to post a little outfit inspiration for winter in NYC later this year. Probably the only time I'll ever get to wear fur without feeling like a dork. T x

s t y l e - loving mrs madden

Nicole Richie - Queen of the Hollywood yummy-mummy gang, and the ultimate Queen of style. Boy, are we glad she ditched Paris as her trash-tastic BFF?! And that wedding dress? Love it, love her...

As the weather cools down, I am getting more and more excited to slip back into my khaki faithfuls. You can't go wrong, especially when teamed with a beautiful leopard print scarf; a la Jess Hart! K x

s t y l e - sincerely jules

So, today whilst I was checking out one of my fave blogs, they all hate us, I fell in love with Julie Sarinana's style (she reminds me a little of Nicole Richie...but cooler if that's even possible!).  I quickly went to check out her blog Sincerely, Jules and boy was I blown away.   Need her wardrobe (and her hair) now. LOVE. T x

d i n i n g - pork saltimbocca

I cooked this delicious meal for Bam and I the other night and it was such a hit, I cooked it again a couple of nights later for Mami and Papi's wedding anniversary! I also added a bed of sweet potato mash under the beans. It is honestly sooo easy, and took all of about half an hour to prepare AND cook!

Ingredients (serves 4)
4 pork loin steaks
2 bocconcini
4 slices prosciutto
4 sprigs sage leaves
400g green beans, trimmed
50g butter
1 1/2 tbs olive oil
1 1/2 lemons, juiced
1 tbs chopped flat-leaf parsley
  1. Cook beans in a saucepan of boiling salted water for 3 minutes or until tender, then drain well. Return to saucepan, add 20g butter and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat remaining 30g butter and oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium–high heat. Add pork steaks, sage-side down, and cook for 2 minutes, then turn over and cook for a further 2 minutes or until just cooked through. Divide beans among plates, then top with pork. Return the pan to high heat. Add lemon juice and parsley, and season with freshly ground black pepper. As soon as the mixture begins to sizzle, spoon over pork and beans to serve.
Enjoy! K x
