On our family trip to France over Christmas, Bam blew me away with the most romantic (and surprising!) proposal in Paris. I was not expecting it at all! Being one of three girls, it didn't take long for the planning to start (about three am in the morning after we'd been out celebrating). We decided to have a destination wedding in our favourite island paradise - Bali, because it meant all the guests would get a relaxing holiday and be able to let their hair down to party with us. Mum and I spent an embarrassing amount of hours searching through private villas for Bam and I to inspect when we were in Bali earlier this year. We found one we both absolutely loved but unfortunately it didn't work out. Mum has some incredible talent where she can find the most amazing accommodation deals on the internet, so her and I booked another trip for July to inspect some more options. Somewhere in between those two trips though, we started rethinking our decision to have a destination wedding. It would mean that Bam's grandparents and some of my family wouldn't be able to make it due to health problems. We obviously really want all of our loved ones there to celebrate with us so we drove down to the South Coast of NSW with our parents and booked the first and only venue we had considered here. It is so perfect and very 'us', so I can't wait to share some pics when I get the chance. Mum and I still went to Bali last month, and we even inspected some of the villas she had found, so I'll start sharing some of our favourites soon as well!
